Rainy day

The sky opened today and rain poured over the land.It was raining 'cats and dogs'.I got caught in the rain storm and was thoroughly drenched.I got trapped in an area where there was no shelter so I got soaked to the bone.

In Zechariah 10:1 -"Ask ye of the Lord rain in the time of the latter rain;so the Lord shall make bright clouds and give them showers of rain..."

God promises to pour out His Holy Spirit in the last days to help to spread the gospel to all the world.(Joel 2:28,29).We need that out -pouring of the Holy spirit as it was in the day of Pentecost where over 3000 souls were converted when Peter filled with the power of the Holy Spirit preached to the people (Acts 2).This was referred to as the former rain.God is going to do it again as the latter rain.

The gospel must be preached to all the world as a witness before Jesus return.Today we have the privelege to co-operate with God, to be a part of the mission but we need the power from on high to spread the gospel.

God needs willing and obedient persons for the job.The present working conditions may be tough and the pay small but this job have a great retirement package-a reward of eternal life in heavenly places.
