Devil tool kit

The devil went into his toolkit today
And he came up with one of his most effective weapon
This weapon was aimed squarely at me.
Oh how he loves to use this weapon
Because it has fell many a mighty man
With a devilish grin he held me in his cross -hair
And with cruel delight he squeezed the trigger sharply
As he closed his eye in eager anticipation
Picturing the destruction he would cause

What weapon I am talking about
It is simply the weapon of discouragement
It paralyses one's forward thrust
and stops many a dream in its track
It rips ambition from one 's breast
and stifles and strangles hope
Accomplishment is also laid waste in the dust

As I reeled under the impact of the bullet of discouragement
The shrapnel of disappointment began to spread through my system
I grasped for air and thought I was a goner
My life flashed before my eyes
And as my feet began to buckle under the disappointing effect
I called out to the only one mighty to save
Jesus Christ is his name
And He whispers gently in my ear
Friend I got you covered
My blood is all the protection you need
It will protect and save
Don't worry my child I took the bullet for you
Keep this foremost in your mind

When thou passeth through the waters,I will be with thee
And through the rivers ,they shall not overflow thee
When thou walkest through the fire ,thou shall not be burned
Neither shall the flame kindle upon thee

I regained my strength because of the mighty promise
I threw all discouragement behind my back
And my thoughts began to dwell on my Saviour's promise
And soon my feet were climbing higher to heavenly places
